In most email programs it is allowed to create a signature that can be attached to every email you send.

Often I see some disclaimer like:
This communication is for use by the intended recipient(s) and contains information that may be privileged, confidential or copyrighted under applicable law. If you are not the intended recipient(s), you are hereby formally notified that any use, copying or distribution of this e-mail, in whole or in part, is strictly prohibited. Please notify the sender by return e-mail and delete this e-mail from your system. Unless explicitly and conspicuously designated as “E-Contract Intended”, this e-mail does not constitute a contract offer, a contract amendment, or an acceptance of a contract offer. Yargon accepts no liability for any damage caused by any virus transmitted by this e-mail.

Of course a disclaimer is necessary. Only, my questions are:

Does anybody read it?

Is it supportive to your exposure?

Does it interact with your customers?

Is it good for cross-selling?

I guess you won’t be surprised about the answers. These are No, No, No and No.

It is quite simple to use the email signature as a free marketing tool. It is viral too.
Just include, a price off, a link to a specific site, a special offer, a RSS feed, or any catchy tagline.

Don’t write long essays because people won’t read all that text

Conclusion:

The email signature is the forgotten marketing tool.

Today I’ve found an interesting article about some basic tips about Google Adwords:

For your Internet Marketing Strategy to be successful, you need a Sponsored Search Marketing strategy. One such tried and tested strategy is the Google AdWords scheme.

As a form of Search Engine Marketing, Google AdWords has other methods beat. This is due to the incredible versatility you’ll have by having access to more websites than any other search engine - your ad here? More accurately, your ad anywhere you want it to be. You bid on the placement you want on Google’s sites, including on it’s search engine result pages.

Here, we’re going to go into the depths of the Google AdWords structure so that you can plan your search engine marketing campaign better as a part of your Internet Marketing Strategy.

A typical account on Google AdWords follows this structure: (more…)

A couple of days Google launched it’s new feature, demographic targeting. With this new feature it’s possible to target specific age groups and gender.

What is demographic targeting?
It’s a feature that helps you target your ads to users of a particular age group (such as ages 18-24), by gender, or to combinations of those groups. You can use demographic bidding whether you are using contextual or placement targeting and with both CPC and CPM bidding. You can refine your reach based on users’ gender and age on certain sites in the Google content network such as MySpace and Friendster, whose users provide that information about themselves. AdWords receives the data in anonymous and aggregate form from participating partner sites, which means that users can’t be personally identified.

Conclusion
In my humble opinion this is an interesting feature. I do however have some questions about the size (reach) of this feature since not every website is sharing their users info…

Keyword Density is the percentage of occurrence of your keywords to the text in the rest of your webpage.

What is the correct keyword density?

There are a lot of opinions as to what is the correct keyword density for most search engines. Generally, most experts claim that 1%-3% keyword density is best.

It is important that your keyword density is balanced correctly. Because, when your keyword density is to low you won’t get the maximum benefit and when your keyword density is to low your page might be flagged for keyword spamming.

But how can you check your websites keyword density?

You can use our cool tool called “Keyword Density Checker” in our online marketing tools section.
