Lots of people advertise on Google Adwords. There are several ways to improve your advertising results. One of them is to professionalize your ads.

When you have another great tip to improve Google Adwords ads, please sent it to us. We will put it on our site with your name and URL.

What does a better ad mean?

  1. A better ad means a higher CTR.
  2. A higher CTR will be rewarded by Google Adwords with lower bid prices or higher rankings
  3. Lower bid prices means a higher ROI (Return on Investment)
  4. Higher rankings means more clicks and an even higher CTR

Conclusion
It is very important to improve your Google Adwords ads. You can continuously improve your Google Adwords ads with testing, split-testing, multiple ads over multiple test iterations, etc.
I am sure the performance of your Google Adwords ads will improve over time.

Now I will give you the 10 most important Google Adwords tips how to write better ads.

  1. Keep your audience in mind. What is your target market looking for when they search for your keyword? Try to read their minds when you are writing the ad. Your target market should recognize them in your ad.
  2. Double check your spelling and grammar. A stupid mistake is not professional and will hurt your credibility. A mistake will have consequences for your tests results.
  3. It is better to steal good ideas than to invent lousy ideas. Look to your competitors and copy the items that are performing. Take some of the top ads which are shown for your keyword and mix them to create something completely new.
  4. Emphasize “what’s in it for me”. People are not interested in features. They are interested what they can do with those features or why they would benefit from it. A successful Google Adwords ad describes benefits only.
  5. Use specific numbers. This is a common marketing trick that has been used for more than a century. Specific numbers create curiosity. Normally, a discount of 16,80% will have a better performance (higher CTR) than a discount of 20%. A sales increase of 183% will attract more people than a sales increase of almost 200%.
  6. Call-to-action. Always try asking your audience to do something. That’s the principle behind the call-to-action. Of course you have limited space in Google Adwords. This means that including something like “Click here to receive this benefit” is sufficient.
  7. Make your landing page relevant. This tip will not affect your CTR but will have effects on your conversion. It is very important that you make your ad relevant to the landing page. Give them what you promised in your ad and you will experience higher conversions. When you don’t do this, your visitors get confused and simply click away.
  8. Test multiple versions of your display URL. It is wise to do several experiments. After you have analyzed the results you can choose for the most profitable URL. You can make experiments with capitalization (i.e. “DomainName.com” vs. “domainname.com” or even DoMaInNaMe.com); you can also make experiments with “www”, sub domains, and pages. Normally, but not always, your CTR will increase when you include your keywords in the URL.
  9. Ads for small groups of keywords. It is wise to write your ads specifically for small groups of keywords. I know these extra ads will cost you extra time but it will have a positive effect on your CTR.
  10. Keywords in your ad. Try to use the keywords in your ad. Sometimes you can include the keyword in all four lines of the PPC ad for maximum bolding.

These are the 10 most important tips to improve your PPC ads. I hope your initial Google Adwords ads will give your business a boost. Of course I know there are more tips and tricks to improve your advertising results. When you have a good one please sent it to Yargon, we will put it on our site.
