Google Conversion Optimizer is no longer in Beta

January 15th, 2008 · 1 Comment

Last September Google introduced the Conversion Optimizer for managing CPA (Cost per Acquisition) bids. This is the ideal instrument for Adwords users who are measuring  their conversions (which you always should).

When you know how much one conversion can cost you, you can easily fill your CPA (cost per acquisition) instead of your CPC.

Example:
Suppose you know that the maximum costs for one conversion is 2,- euro . You enter this digit down instead of the CPC, which you normally would.  Google will automatically manage your Adwords bids and stay below  2,- euro per conversion.

Especially for smaller companies this tool is ideal. Normally these companies don’t have a fulltime specialized employee and now the owner or sales manager can easily manage his Adwords bids.

Conclusion:
The Google Conversion Optimizer will save companies a whole lot of time and a lot of money. There is one important condition however: during the last 30 days there must have been at least 200 conversions.
